Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

Vela does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. Everything stays on your device and your private iCloud.

What data Vela uses

Vela reads heart rate variability (HRV) data from Apple HealthKit to calculate your personal stress score. This data is already collected automatically by your Apple Watch.

Vela also stores the readings it calculates — your stress score history, your personal HRV baseline, and raw HRV samples used for baseline calculation.

Where your data lives

All data is stored locally on your Apple Watch and synced privately through your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. Vela has no servers. No data ever passes through systems owned or operated by Vela.

Only you can access your data. Not us, not third parties.

Third parties

Vela does not share any data with third parties. We do not use analytics services, advertising SDKs, or any external tracking tools.

Health data

Vela accesses health data solely to provide its core functionality — measuring and tracking your stress level. Health data is never used for advertising or sold to any party.

Children

Vela is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
